The Assistant Project Manager is an entry-level project management position and is expected to learn and develop competency in the Essential Duties and Responsibilities. The APM provides administrative and construction support for the Project Management team.

• Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Return for Information), and meeting minutes.
• Oversee project activities as assigned by the Project Manager, including planning, coordinating, resolving problems, and ensuring policies, procedures, and standards are maintained.
• Maintain change orders, submittals, and document (drawing) control logs. Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
• Prepare contract submittals that are accurate and timely.
• Create and issue Subcontractors' contracts.
• Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
• Ensure the project quality control plan is followed.
• Interact with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation and drawings for Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
• Keep the Warranty Log up to date.
• Attend company/project meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc., and provide project management support.
• Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.
• Monitor other contractors' activities and progress.
• Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
• Prepare price change orders and project reports and documentation.
• Work with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

• Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
• Tactful and professional demeanor with ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and others.
• Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
  Oracle preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
• Oral and written communication skills appropriate for the role.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a construction-related role.
• Combination of training, education, and relevant work experience that is equivalent.

• General work environment – primarily on active construction sites; includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Indoor with varying environmental conditions.
• Noise level is typically low to medium.
• Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
