Your OpportunityThe Assistant Project Manager is an entry-level project management position and is expected to learn and develop competency in the Essential Duties and Responsibilities. The APM provides administrative and construction support for the Project Management team.
What You’ll Do- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Return for Information), and meeting minutes.
- Oversee project activities as assigned by the Project Manager, including planning, coordinating, resolving problems, and ensuring policies, procedures, and standards are maintained.
- Maintain change orders, submittals, and document (drawing) control logs. Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
- Prepare contract submittals that are accurate and timely.
- Create and issue Subcontractors' contracts.
- Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
- Ensure the project quality control plan is followed.
- Interact with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation and drawings for Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
- Keep the Warranty Log up to date.
- Attend company/project meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc., and provide project management support.
- Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.
- Monitor other contractors' activities and progress.
- Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
- Prepare price change orders and project reports and documentation.
- Work with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
- Tactful and professional demeanor with ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and others.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
Oracle preferred. - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Oral and written communication skills appropriate for the role.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a construction-related role.
- Combination of training, education, and relevant work experience that is equivalent.

Working Conditions- General work environment – primarily on active construction sites; includes sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Indoor with varying environmental conditions.
- Noise level is typically low to medium.
- Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
