Position SummaryWe are looking for a Project Executive to provide leadership and oversight for construction, project management, and project administration activities. The role is responsible for maintaining budgets, timelines, and profitability for assigned projects while implementing corporate policies to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational oversight in client management, procedural issues, financial and reporting matters, and workforce planning and analysis.
- Actively manage workload, professional development, and client development skills of project management staff.
- Promote positive customer relations and maintain a culture of safety, quality, customer service, and profitability.
- Initiate, execute, and document quality job start‑up meetings for projects.
- Manage and maintain strategic partner subcontractor and vendor relationships, including payment verification.
- Conduct monthly project reviews with teams to ensure adherence to schedules, quality, safety, administration, and profitability.
- Analyze personnel availability and assign staff to meet project needs.
- Assist PMs and superintendents with issue resolution and requests.
- Manage customer relations and negotiate change orders.
- Represent the company and projects in client, subcontractor, and senior management meetings.
- Schedule, facilitate, and document project close‑out meetings.
- Verify project data sheets, photos, and documentation for completed projects.
- Strong personal integrity and the ability to foster a collaborative culture internally and externally.
- Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and preferably Accubid and Oracle.
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures.
- Strong prioritization and multitasking skills with the capacity to adapt under time pressure.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
- Professional interaction with employees at all levels, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
- PE license preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience, preferably in electrical construction.
- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
- Proven experience in mentoring and managing others.
- Business development and heavy client interaction experience a plus.
- Combination of education, training, and relevant experience acceptable.
Travel: 10‑25% of the time. The position is performed primarily on active construction sites, involving extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Work environments are primarily indoors with varying lighting and noise levels.
