YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
The Project Executive provides leadership and oversight for strategic and day-to-day Construction, Project Management, and Project Administration activities. You will be responsible for maintaining budgets, timelines, and project profitability, and for helping develop and implement corporate policies and procedures to achieve corporate goals.
- Provide operational oversight in client management, procedural issues, financial and reporting issues, and workforce planning and analysis.
- Actively manage the workload, professional development, and client development skills of project management staff.
- Promote positive customer relations with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, focusing on safety, quality, customer service, and profitability.
- Initiate, execute, and document a quality job start-up meeting for projects.
- Manage and maintain Strategic Partner subcontractor and vendor relationships, including verification of timely payment.
- Perform monthly project reviews with project teams to ensure adherence to schedules, quality, safety, administration, and profitability.
- Analyze available and qualified personnel and assign resources to meet project needs.
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with issue resolution and requests.
- Manage customer relations and change order negotiations.
- Represent the company/project in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and others; participate in project Senior Management meetings.
- Schedule, facilitate, and document project close-out meetings and verify project data sheets and photos (with client permission) for completed projects.
- Adhere to the general responsibilities of the role and contribute to continuous improvement as assigned by the business unit.
- Highest level of personal integrity with the ability to foster a collaborative culture internally and externally.
- Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office;
Accubid and Oracle experience is a plus. - Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, structural engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience, preferably in electrical construction; knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.
- Proven experience mentoring and managing others.
- Business development or heavy client interaction experience is a plus.
- Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- 10 - 25% travel expected.
- General work environment: primarily on active construction sites with varying conditions.
- Activity includes sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending; indoor with varying lighting and climate control.
- Noise level can be loud on job sites.
- Compliance with ADA and applicable state law, including reasonable accommodations for qualified disabled applicants and employees to perform essential functions.
- Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
