Job Summary The Design Trainee will get hands on experience designing roof trusses floor trusses and wall panels The position requires interaction with vendors customers and field staff The Design Trainee reports to the Design Manager Responsibilities Ability to learn MiTek design software Assist with wall panel layouts per architectural and structural plans and specifications Assist with pricingestimating data Check floorroof truss layouts and wall panel layouts for consistency Assist with engineered wood products and hanger lists Review layouts and shipping files for accuracy Coordinate job set up and data entry Assist wall panel and truss designers with editing tasks Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications and Experience General construction framing experience or trusspanel production experience is preferred but not necessary Familiar with Microsoft Office products Working knowledge of framing blueprints specifications and other construction documents is preferred but not necessary Professionally communicate and interact with co workers
