Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced Integration Field Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight on large-scale electrical power system projects. This individual will serve as the Project Manager’s technical representative in the field, supporting commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and integration of complex power infrastructure systems.
This role is hands‑on and field‑focused. You will work closely with project managers, QC managers, superintendents, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure systems are designed, integrated, and commissioned according to specifications. The ideal candidate is passionate about power systems, protection & controls, and automation, and thrives in high‑performance project environments.
Duties And Responsibilities- Design and develop intra‑switch gear and inter‑equipment control systems.
- Develop site‑wide Sequence of Operations (SOO).
- Coordinate with vendors and conduct submittal reviews and factory witness testing.
- Design mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical safety interlock systems.
- Develop automation systems using PLC or RTAC industrial controllers.
- Design protection relay logic and settings using SEL, ABB, and Siemens platforms.
- Develop IEC 61850‑based protection and control schemes.
- Perform power system failure analysis, event analysis, and SOE analysis.
- Support startup, commissioning, and field technical troubleshooting activities.
- Provide technical oversight and collaboration with field and project leadership teams.
- 8+ years of electrical engineering design experience in electrical power systems.
- Strong understanding of generators, transformers, switch gear, protective relays, UPS, DRUPS, substations, and renewable systems.
- Experience designing relay protection schemes and automation controls.
- Hands‑on experience with PLC or RTAC‑based industrial controllers.
- Ability to conduct power system event analysis and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced project environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with Oracle preferred.
- Experience in data center or large‑scale critical infrastructure environments.
- Experience in industrial automation or load management systems.
- Background in factory witness testing and commissioning oversight.
- Experience in high‑travel field engineering roles.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
- Salary Range: $150,000 – $160,000 annually
