We're partnering with an innovative engineering company in the defense and advanced technology space that is growing its Austin-area team. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative R&D environment where engineers have significant ownership and work on next-generation technologies across the full product lifecycle.

From clean-sheet design and advanced prototyping to testing, validation, and continuous improvement, you'll help bring new products from concept to reality while working alongside a passionate team of engineers tackling complex technical challenges.

This is a full-time, permanent position onsite in Pflugerville, TX.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and test advanced mechanical systems and assemblies.
  • Drive prototype development and product validation activities.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to develop next‑generation technologies.
  • Conduct testing, analyze performance data, and implement design improvements.
  • Create engineering documentation, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Support design for manufacturability (DFM) and product optimization efforts.
  • Participate in R&D initiatives and special engineering projects from concept through deployment.
Must‑Have Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, product development, manufacturing, or prototype environments.
  • Experience with DFM, FMEA, GD&T, and CAD software (Solid Works preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a hands‑on, fast‑paced engineering environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with high‑pressure systems, advanced energy technologies, battery systems, electromechanical products, or hydrogen‑related applications.
  • Experience taking products from concept through testing and early production.
  • Passion for engineering, building, and hands‑on technical projects.
