Neuromeka is a leading robotics manufacturer headquartered in South Korea, specializing in collaborative robots, industrial automation, autonomous mobile robots, precision actuators, and AI-driven manufacturing solutions. Through complete in-house development of robot hardware, software, controllers, and core components, Neuromeka delivers vertically integrated automation solutions across manufacturing, logistics, food automation, and advanced robotics.

Neuromeka USA is expanding its welding automation business by bringing its robotic welding technology to North American manufacturers. We're looking for someone who wants to help expand our welding solutions to the US market.

Must be willing to work from our Pflugerville, TX office (~20 minutes outside of Austin).

Position Overview

As our Lead Robotics Applications Engineer, you will serve as the technical bridge between customers, sales, product development, and engineering teams.

This role requires robotics engineering, welding expertise, customer consulting, and field implementation. You will evaluate customer applications, develop welding processes, commission robotic systems, provide technical training, and continuously iterate on our welding product development through direct customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities Customer Applications & Technical Sales Support
  • Evaluate customer welding applications for automation feasibility
  • Conduct application reviews using drawings, CAD models, and production requirements
  • Recommend appropriate robotic configurations, tooling, positioners, and external axes
  • Estimate cycle times and production improvements
  • Support customer demonstrations and proof-of-concept trials
  • Present technical solutions alongside the sales team
  • Build trusted relationships with customers throughout the evaluation process
Robotic Welding Development
  • Develop and optimize welding procedures for new customer applications
  • Establish welding parameters for carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials
  • Validate weld quality through testing and continuous optimization
  • Configure robotic welding paths, torch angles, weaving strategies, and motion parameters
  • Troubleshoot welding defects and improve process consistency
  • Build reusable application templates and welding parameter libraries
  • Program Neuromeka collaborative robots for welding applications
  • Integrate welding power sources using industrial communication protocols
  • Support external axes, positioners, and robot tracks
  • Perform on-site installations, commissioning, and production startup
  • Train customer operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel
  • Work closely with the engineering team to improve welding software and user experience
  • Provide structured feedback from customer deployments
  • Identify opportunities for new software features and hardware improvements
  • Participate in beta testing of new products and software releases
  • Assist in developing standardized deployment procedures and documentation
  • Support creation of technical manuals, training materials, and application guides
Industry Development
  • Represent Neuromeka at trade shows, customer demonstrations, and technical seminars
  • Build relationships with welding equipment manufacturers, system integrators, and automation partners
  • Stay current with welding processes, automation technologies, vision systems, and industry trends
  • Help establish Neuromeka as a technical leader in collaborative robotic welding
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience implementing robotic welding systems in industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of GMAW (MIG), FCAW, GTAW (TIG), and related welding processes
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication prints
  • Experience commissioning industrial robotic systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer communication and presentation abilities
  • Willingness to travel throughout North America (40–60%)
