The Seasonal MRI Technologist PRN, under a Radiologist's supervision, performs MRI procedures on patients as requested by a physician or licensed provider for diagnosing disease and injury following established protocols.
Essential Functions OfThe Role
- Performs high-quality MRI procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner, maintaining production and quality by following established standards and procedures.
- Utilizes AIDET to communicate with patients, identifies patient service needs, ensures the correct exam is performed on the correct patient, establishes rapport with patients and others, instructs and communicates with patients and their family about the test, and assesses the patient's ability to tolerate the exam.
- Prepares the patient and area for the procedure, positions the patient, adjusts immobilization devices, moves equipment into position, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- Protects patients and employees by following safety, infection‑control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques, using proper sterile techniques for invasive multimodality procedures and maintaining hand hygiene.
- Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards, works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation, reports issues to management or the appropriate department, and assists in maintaining the supplies inventory.
- Ensures is safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.
- Obtains, verifies, and maintains all relevant documents like requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, consent forms, and policies.
- Maintains medical imaging records in the appropriate system and according to department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner.
- Able to perform high quality MRI procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
- Able to explain the procedure and put patients at ease.
- Able to provide services quickly, accurately, and cost‑efficiently, following System and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
- Able to perform tasks alone without routine oversight.
- Able to stay calm and helpful during stress, taking reasonable steps to resolve issues.
- Able to effectively administer first aid and use emergency cart.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by limiting wait times and providing courteous service, remaining professional, reviewing patient satisfaction scores, and developing action plans when needed.
- Demonstrates and maintains current knowledge, education, and skills for appropriate care of newborns, pediatric, young adults, adults, and geriatrics.
- Able to serve as preceptor by providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives.
- Able to take call, if required.

Qualifications- Experience – Less than 1 Year
- American Reg MRI Tech (ARMRIT), ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) :
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT).
