Junior System Administrator

YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and reliable operation of Enterprise level servers, appliances, storage systems, and peripherals. Microsoft 365, AWS, and VMware Administration is a plus.

• Implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring and the development of specialized system procedures.
• Performs basic systems administration functions, including managing profiles and accounts, monitors and manages system resources, including CPU, memory and disk usage; performs systems backups and recovery procedures.
• Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve specific issues or problems; maintains system documentation and logs.
• Performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing production system problems.
• Maintain network and server security, including application security, anti‑virus, and user account management.
• Participate in monitoring, primary response and intervention for information technology‑related security incidents and violations.
• Keep current with new systems; security; network technologies, and applicable laws and regulations.

• Windows Systems Administration and Microsoft Active Directory Management.
• Must have excellent customer relations skills, superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must thrive in a team environment and have the ability to coach and mentor Desktop Technicians.
• Linux fundamentals and willingness to learn Red Hat.

• Microsoft Certified Administrator or another Systems Administrator certification.
• Experience as a Jr. Systems Administrator is preferred. Demonstrate technical proficiency, problem‑solving skills, and hands‑on experience.

• Minimal, infrequent travel

• General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
• Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
