Position SummaryAs a Machinist at Crux Manufacturing, you will use your skills set up and operate a variety of HAAS CNC machines and tools to produce precision parts and custom fabrications. You will play a vital role in our production team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision for our customers.
Responsibilities- Perform machine setup, tool adjustments, and operation of conventional and CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to plan and execute machining operations to tight tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify conformance with specifications.
- Monitor machine performance during operation, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal productivity and quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to tooling, materials, and setups.
- Collaborate with programmers and lead team members to optimize manufacturing processes and address non‑conformance issues.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a shop environment.
- Experience with HAAS CNC machine controls and set ups.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to accurately complete inspection paperwork and document quality checks.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Knowledge of various materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, titanium) and their machining properties.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- A "can‑do" attitude and a desire for continuous learning and improvement.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required;
