Well Med Medical Group, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Austin Provider Float Team in the South Austin area.
Position Highlights- Practice with a multi‑disciplinary team of healthcare providers.
- Model designed to provide efficient, comprehensive, and proven care techniques to treat the whole patient—physically, mentally, and socially—at each visit.
- Quality vs. Quantity Model – typically see 14 to 16 patients per day.
- Patient panel predominantly geriatrics with Medicare Advantage coverage.
- Bonus incentives based on quality metrics.
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners (for NP) or Texas Medical Board (for PA).
- Valid DEA license or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience as an NP or PA.
- Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare‑aged patient population.
- Working understanding and support of a managed care environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency.
- Base salary plus quality bonus.

- Compensation ranges from $109,500 - $164,000, based on local labor markets, education, experience, and performance.
