Registered Nurse Cath Lab

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse Cath Lab, you will deliver nursing care and assistance for adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including assessment, medication administration, patient monitoring, and procedure support.

• Complete and document a patient assessment upon admission
• Reassess and document changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and monitor and document response
• Monitor the patient’s overall status pre‑, during, and post‑procedure
• Communicate any patient changes to the physician
• Manage patients with potentially life‑threatening dysrhythmia or hemodynamic change via physician orders using medications and emergency equipment
• Explain procedures to patients and assess their understanding

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Associate Degree
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience as an RN
• Preferred:
  Cath Lab or cardiac nursing experience
