Senior Supplier Quality Surveillance Engineer at Rosendin is responsible for supporting Procurement in planning and executing supplier quality inspections and audits to ensure materials and equipment meet contractual and customer quality expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control shop inspections and audits of critical materials and engineered equipment.
  • Assist in ensuring subcontractor and corporate agreements meet Rosendin procurement quality standards.
  • Read and interpret equipment specifications and drawings; provide feedback on supplier testing and inspections.
  • Report manufacturing problems to management and project personnel; assist in identifying and correcting issues.
  • Communicate inspection and audit results verbally and in written reports; recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain knowledge of procurement quality procedures, documents, and reporting structures.
  • Support supplier pre‑qualification by performing supplier audits and assessments.
  • Review Supplier/Subcontractor Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR) and help develop corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate with Quality Managers to approve final disposition and sign off NCRs.
  • Provide input to procurement on overall supplier quality performance.
  • Facilitate pre‑fabrication meetings, create checklists, and write inspection/audit reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional supplier experience with 5+ years in supplier quality, or 3+ years supplier quality with a 4‑year bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Associate’s degree in electrical technology acceptable with 3+ years experienced.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in leading pre‑fabrication meetings.
  • Detail‑oriented, effective time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Team player who can work independently under tight deadlines.
  • API SIEE certification preferred; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
Requirements
  • Broad working knowledge of design/craft disciplines and engineered equipment/materials for renewable energy and electrical projects.
  • Familiarity with inspection and testing techniques for transformers, switch gear, UPS, generators, BESS, PV modules, wire and cable assemblies.
  • Knowledge of electrical procurement and vendor surveillance procedures and construction industry codes (IEEE, IECC, NEC, NFPA, NESC, IBC, IFC, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, and related documents.
Travel

Position may require up to 85% travel, including occasional travel outside the United States.

Working Conditions

General environment involves sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying and pushing. Work is primarily indoors with varying lighting and temperature. Noise levels are typically low to medium but may be loud on job sites. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. State and federal ADA accommodations are available for qualified disabled applicants.
