Summary

Provide extraordinary shopping experiences and stock merchandise at Specs Family Partners in Austin, TX. This full‑time position requires excellent customer service, product knowledge, and regular lifting and walking.

• Know, demonstrate, and promote the Company Mission Statement and Core Values daily.
• Maintain uniform standards as per the Employee Manual.
• Demonstrate superior product knowledge and provide product recommendations.
• Greet guests, engage in friendly conversation, and recommend merchandise.
• Answer questions about price, use, and availability.
• Build relationships with regular guests.
• Assist in carrying products to registers, operating cash registers, and receiving merchandise as business dictates.
• Prepare promotional events and set up displays/merchandise arrangements to promote sales.
• Maintain neat sales floor, back stock, and clean aisles, shelves, and tables.
• Ensure fresh and readable price tags on all products.
• Provide feedback on stock levels and product performance.
• Assist in inventory processes as requested.
• Use computers and RF scanners properly.
• Contribute to profitability and productivity by continually improving skills.
• Maintain professional interactions; avoid personal conversations during guest presence and limit cell‑phone use.
• Follow management directives efficiently.
• Practice teamwork, cooperation, and time‑management skills.
• Manage stress in a fast‑paced environment.
• Follow safety regulations including Specs Family Partners and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting/carrying up to 50lb regularly and up to 100lb occasionally.
• Complete other tasks assigned by management.
• Clean bathrooms when needed.

• High school diploma or GED (preferred); retail sales experience preferred.
• At least 21 years old and able to obtain a valid TABC Beverage Seller’s Permit;
  Food Handlers Permit may be required.
• Strong product knowledge; experience in wine retail, hospitality, or sommelier/server positions preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills, able to explain product differences.
• Basic math skills for calculating discounts and percentages.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50–100lb regularly.
• Responsiveness, reliability, and commitment to exceptional service.
• Friendly, outgoing, and customer‑focused demeanor.

Full‑time: 35hours per week. Must be available for any Friday or Saturday shift and 80%+ of all other shifts. Part‑time: up to 25hours per week.

Requires regular standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50lb, and occasional lifting up to 100lb. Must be able to push and pull 50–100lb regularly. Must meet vision requirements for close and distance vision.

A valid TABC Beverage Seller’s Permit is required;
Food Handlers Permit may be required. Company will provide training and reimburse up to 3hours for the TABC course, deducting an $8 course cost from the paycheck.
