Position Summary
Supervises a small team of service technicians in the safe and efficient service and installation of commercial HVAC and plumbing equipment, components and systems. Responsible for assigned service agreements and/or customer accounts within a geographical area or specific offering to support a service team. Manages service projects as appropriate.
Position Details- Performs service work, troubleshooting and responds to service calls, as a lead technician.
- Provides oversight to assigned service agreements and customer accounts to ensure quality of work, cost estimates and customer expectations are met.
- Supervises and directs assigned service technicians. Clearly communicates job duties and ensures adherence to policies, procedures and standards.
- Provides technical support and guidance to technicians as needed.
- Assists with service quotes and estimates to support sales and growth initiatives.
- Reviews service tickets and other field paperwork. Assures time is correctly applied and descriptions of work are accurate and appropriate. Addresses and resolves any issues with technicians.
- Supports the selection, ordering and delivery of supplies and equipment for technicians for assigned project.
- Works with the Service Supervisor and maintains regular communications regarding workforce, equipment and resources required to complete field service and emergency response projects.
- Meets with customers as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and to resolve any pending complaints or issues.
- Assists Sales with customer scope development, technical analysis/support for retrofits, upgrades and/or enhancements to existing equipment.
- Performs safety evaluations to identify any risks and communicates to technicians to remedy the situation or escalate as appropriate.
- High School degree or GED
- 5 years of progressive experience performing service maintenance and repair work within mechanical industry
- OSHA-30 certification (must be obtained within six months of hire)
- Strong knowledge of business/industry practices, processes and standards
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of safety and OSHA rules and regulations
