- Learn side-by-side with your skilled mentor how to diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service real equipment—this is hands-on experience that goes way beyond the classroom.
- Build your technical confidence by documenting machine details and repair work on service orders, including the parts and fluids you use—your notes help keep the team informed and efficient.
- Own your workspace by keeping it clean and organized, and showing care for the tools and machines you’ll be using—because professionalism starts with pride in your environment.
- Be enrolled in or attending an approved Heavy Equipment Service, Diesel Technology, or technical service program recognized by RDO Equipment Co.
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid attendance record to stay eligible for program benefits.
- Build hands-on skills by gaining experience using mechanical tools while learning on the job in a supportive environment.
- Be tech-savvy and customer-focused: strong computer skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Communicate and stay organized: clear written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid work authorization: candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Team outings: we regularly attend events and doing things together outside of work.
- Great team atmosphere: everyone is willing to help out when needed. Monthly events like chili cook-offs, a Christmas party and a pumpkin carving contest.
