The Fire Alarm Project Manager will oversee and manage Fire Alarm Projects from inception to completion. This individual will coordinate field technicians, liaise with clients, ensure code compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of fire alarm systems, project management experience, and excellent communication skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage multiple ongoing Fire Alarm installation projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact for General contractors, subcontractors, install technicians and internal departments.
Develop project scopes, estimates, and budgets; monitor progress and performance.
Assist in scheduling of technician crews, in conjunction with superintendent.
Ensuring work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Coordinate material procurement, subcontractor scheduling, and field service dispatching.
Maintain accurate records including Project Status Reports, inspection forms, and any other required documentation.
Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions for system deficiencies.
Oversee financials and help resolve any invoicing or billing discrepancies.
Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
Determine customer needs by conducting site surveys and communicate effectively to educate the customer.
Assist with progress billing per contract guidelines.
Support sales efforts by identifying service opportunities and providing recommendations.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/
Qualification:
5+ years in the fire protection industry, with a focus on fire alarm systems.
Proven project management or equivalent experience, ideally in a fire alarm installation environment.
Proficieny in adminstrative, project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Office, Microsoft Project, Service Trade, etc.).Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Other Duties:
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Office and field environment; occasional job site visits required.
May need to work outside standard business hours to meet project deadlines or respond to emergencies.
