Delivery Driver
Parts Authority is one of the fastest growing supply chain companies in the country. We are rapidly expanding across the United States and are looking for Delivery Drivers to represent the company and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Pick up and drop off automotive parts, adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
- Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete, charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
- Take directions from dispatcher, follow assigned routes, use navigation apps, and take alternative routes as necessary to deliver packages on time.
- Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with customers’ operations.
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Accept payments, prepare reports that include invoices, return forms, and reconcile debt and credit.
- When applicable, perform daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and notify the manager of any issues.
- Assist in warehouse duties such as stocking and parts pulling as assigned.
- Maintain and promote workplace safety.
- Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
- Current, valid driver’s license.
- Must be 21 years old or older to meet company insurance requirements.
- Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds;
Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must lift 75 pounds. - Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
- Ability to use a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture.
- Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to take directions and work well as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime as needed.
- Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
- Must meet all of the above requirements to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority.
