Overview
Openwork is recruiting a Material Handler for a distribution company in Pflugerville, TX. The role supports warehouse operations by handling, preparing, and shipping materials efficiently.
Responsibilities- Loading and unloading materials
- Restocking shelves and organizing warehouse inventory
- Loading and unloading trucks using a sit‑down forklift
- Wrapping pallets by hand with shrink wrap for shipment
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse (sweeping, trash removal, etc.)
- Using a handheld scanner to locate and verify parts (training provided)
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials on a consistent basis
- Comfortable working on your feet and in varying warehouse conditions
- Sit‑down & stand up forklift experience required
- Experience with pulling orders, shipping & receiving
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus (not mandatory)
- Pay: $18‑$20/hour starting pay with opportunity for increased hours
- Shift: 6:00am‑3:00pm, Monday‑Friday
