Position: Administrative Assistant I, II, III

About the Role

Join the Hidalgo County Regional Mobility Authority (HCRMA) along with the City of Pharr as a Full‑Time Administrative Assistant. In this dynamic, customer‑centric environment you will support a forward‑thinking team dedicated to problem‑solving and innovation. Your work will enhance operational efficiency while interacting with a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As an Administrative Assistant you will engage in essential office support tasks, interacting with vendors, consultants, contractors, and the general public. You’ll build relationships, facilitate smooth communication, and independently manage general assignments with escalation of unusual issues to a supervisor. At the Administrative Assistant II level you coordinate activities for various projects and specialized programs, while at the Administrative Assistant III level you manage assignments with greater autonomy and minimal supervisor intervention.

Qualifications

Effective communication in both English and Spanish is essential for engaging stakeholders. A solid foundation in recordkeeping and records management is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary for creating and managing documents, preparing correspondence and reports, and ensuring high‑quality service delivery through correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledgeable with recordkeeping and records management.
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office.
  • Able to prepare correspondence/documents using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Able to proofread and review documents for clarity and consistency.

Salary
