Claims-based malpractice with full tail coverage ($1M/$3M limits)

Merit Badge Requirements
ATLS required for all non-EM Boarded MDDO's
PALS required for all PED Boarded MDDO's
ACLS, ATLS, BLS, NRP and PALS required for all NPPAs

Board Certification & Education Requirements
In the past Brownsville would require a FM/IM clinician to work at least 6 months at Harlingen location - MSO confirming this is still the case
Per SCP - ABEM clinicians required for Harlingen & Brownsville Main sites due to their trauma level (FSED and Micro sites will accept EM/FM/IM)
Flexibility of Board Certification specialty requirements for the Free Standing EDs & Weslaco site
EM Boarded clinicians are required to show proof of having ATLS at least once
Board Certifications - Board Certified/Board Eligible by ABMS/AOA in EM/IM/FM w/in 5 years of residency completion or fellowship. Must maintain status of renewals
Confirmation that moonlighting residents are not accepted
Board Certification - ANCC/AANP/NCCPA

Stroke Team
4 hours of Stroke CME annually required - seen more for MDDOs than NPPAs

Trauma Team
16 hours of Trauma CME annually required - seen more for MDDOs than NPPAs

Licensing Requirement
Licensing - Must be current & unrestricted

Immunizations
MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, Covid (proof during initial privileging)
Annual Flu vaccine Required (or must complete declination form & wear mask all the time)
Annual TB Required (Quan/PPD accepted)

Case Logs for past 2 years required for all clinicians

Special Privileges
Bedside Side Ultrasound - will need to provider proof of competency
Conscious Sedation privileges - if they provider does not hold ACLS, they will need to take sedation exam provided by MSO

Locum & Temporary Privileges Process
Locum clinicians receive temps which are for 120 days while the file is being processed fully and ready to go through meetings for full privileges
