Mission:

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing a safe environment for all pool patrons and swimmers in the pool and deck area.

Qualifications/

Skills:

  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Mentally and physically fit
  • Sixteen years of age or older
  • American Red Cross Swim training (employer provided)
  • Ability to become an American Red Cross certified lifeguard or water safety instructor (possibly provided by employer)

Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or GED in English

Experience
:

Lifeguard experience (preferred)

Previous experience working with children

Prior competitive swimming experience is desired but not required

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate and acceptable
