Field Technician II
Location:
Pharr, TX 78577, USA (Primary)
The mission of a CoMET Field Technician for HVJ Construction Material Department, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to support the project manager or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications and company guidelines. HVJ also provides additional training for certifications.
Key Responsibilities- Perform testing and/or inspection as assigned with minimum supervision.
- Document work performed as appropriate.
- Provide support to Project Manager as directed.
- Deliver project deliverables per schedule agreed with client.
- Perform duties in a safe, cheerful, efficient and workmanlike manner.
- Acquire additional skills/certifications as needed.
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples sometimes up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to tolerate year‑round outdoor work.
- Ability to travel occasionally, tolerate shift work, and sometimes stay overnight.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with a relatively clean record.
- 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
- ACI or Nuclear Gauge certification preferred.
- Ability to acquire related certifications as needed.
