• Ensure safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift, including proper use of PPE and exterior door security, and all related matters are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the company’s safety policy.
• Lead manufacturing staff by communicating job expectations, scheduling work, planning, monitoring progress, conflict resolution and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with other Shift Team Leads to ensure effective shift-to-shift hand-off including a joint walk-through of the manufacturing area prior to shift change, verifying that employees communicate with the oncoming shift regarding housekeeping and work‑cell performance.
• Maintain housekeeping standards (GMP/6S) to ensure a clean and safe work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Communicate, enforce and maintain all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Ensure adherence to Quality procedures including Certified Operator training and follow up on shift quality rejects.
• Effectively communicate (written & verbally) to TM members.
• Ensure employees are properly trained to meet production needs of the shift.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in employee time records.
• Utilize 6S Principles to create and maintain organized work cells.
• Report and measure manufacturing results including production, inventory, cycle numbers and IQ transactions.
• Produce manufacturing data by compiling, initiating, sorting and analyzing production performance records and data: lean manufacturing, efficiency, utilization and OEE calculations.
• Manage company resources in an efficient and effective manner.
• Utilize problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills to ensure team members can identify root causes and take fast, effective action to resolve the problems at hand.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our IQMS business management system, including production entries, scrap, dispositioning, cycles, and the ability to research errors and make necessary corrections in the system.
• Understand inventory management in IQMS.
• Understand inventory accuracy by location, scanning, and monthly/quarterly/year‑end inventory requirements.
