The Community Forestry Coordinator at the City of Pharr plays a pivotal role in enhancing local green spaces through meticulous planning, execution, and finalization of forestry projects. This position demands a strategic approach to meet strict deadlines and budget constraints while overseeing designated community sites. Responsibilities include acquiring necessary resources and coordinating diverse efforts involving team members, volunteers, and third-party contractors to deliver impactful initiatives such as bilingual outreach campaigns, tree plantings, giveaways, educational programs, and workshops.
Additionally, the Coordinator will work closely with the Community Urban Forester to define project objectives, monitor progress, and ensure quality control throughout the entire life cycle of grants.
