Job DescriptionSubstitute Security Guard
Reports to: Director of Security
Department: Security
Pay Grade: $11.50/Hour @ 28hrs./week
QualificationsEducation/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED in English
- Texas Certified Basic Training for Security Guard Officers (Level II Required and Level III Preferred)
- Texas Certified Police Officer/DPS Certificate or Pre‑Service Correctional Officer’s Certificate
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
- Must pass annual testing of Texas Cert. Basic Training for Security Guard Officers
- Must comply with District Security Guard Dress Code
- Must comply and pass random drug testing
- Be at least five years older than the average high school seniors
- Able to work with campus administrators, staff, and students, treating them courteously and fairly
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
Experience:
- To assist in a supervisor capacity in the provisions for the security and protection of all students, staff, and property
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate and acceptable
