Testing Center Support

Under the general direction of the Testing Coordinator and the Associate Dean of Student Development and Success, the employee provides support to the College's Testing Center and is the initial point of contact for test administration and scheduling. Salary:

Schedule:

E5 06 ($31,125-$48,180), which is based on years of directly related full-time experience. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications as indicated on this vacancy notice and must submit a completed online application packet through the online application system by the deadline date in order to be considered for this position. Incomplete application packets will eliminate the possibility of an interview. A complete application packet consists of the following:

Verification of experience (employment) will be required after the interview process and prior to an offer of employment. Letter(s) must come from current and/or former employers, verifying employment experience to meet minimum required qualifications and for appropriate placement on the salary schedule. Letter(s) must include employment dates, employment status, and job title and be on official letterhead with an authorized personnel signature.

Completion of all sections of the online application is required. Application materials, including transcripts, must provide documentation that the applicant meets all minimum qualifications. Degrees must be posted on transcripts. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for application; however, official transcripts may be requested by the College prior to extension of an employment agreement to the successful candidate. Incomplete application packets will eliminate the possibility of an interview.

It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure his or her application packet is complete. Once submitted, all application materials become the property of CVCC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Administer Accuplacer Placement Testing.
  • Serve as an alternate examiner, organizing and conducting GED testing.
  • Assist appropriate divisions with scheduling and coordinating various tests offered through the College's Testing Center.
  • Ensure examinees have complied with all testing requirements.
  • Assist with tracking Testing Center service utilization and provide reports as needed.
  • Complete required training in order to stay in compliance with National Testing Center Guidelines.
  • Satisfactorily perform with minimal errors routine clerical duties to support the administration of the Testing Center, including emailing, typing, filing, copying, faxing, and answering the telephone.
  • Appropriately greet and receive visitors to the office; determine nature of their visit and/or request; route request to appropriate individual.
  • Assist students as needed with scheduling appointments to meet with advisors for registration and counseling after testing; ensure advisors receive the appropriate test results.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and order replacement supplies as needed.
  • Maintain, update, and amend records of departmental expenditures to ensure compliance with budget.
  • Maintain calendar for scheduled meetings; ensure that the requested materials and equipment are present for the meetings.
  • Edit outgoing correspondence for accuracy and content.
  • Ensure all documents and records are appropriately filed.
  • Assist with training part-time employees and work-study students in the operations and procedures for the Testing Center.
  • Answer department telephone; route calls to appropriate individual or handle requests as needed; record and distribute messages.
  • Provide information regarding student registration process, programs of study and degrees offered at the College.
