Pursuant to Alabama Act. and the Alabama Community College Policy and Procedure 204.01, neither tenure nor non-probationary status may be attained in this position.
Under the general direction of the Associate Dean of Career and Technical Education and Workforce Training, the Executive Director of Workforce and Adult Education provides strategic leadership, administration, and oversight for the College's Adult Education and Workforce Development programs. The Executive Director is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs that support workforce readiness, adult literacy, economic development, customized business and industry training and community engagement.
The Executive Director oversees personnel, budgets, grants, compliance, partnerships, and program operations while ensuring alignment with the College's mission, strategic priorities, and the goals of the Alabama Community College System. This position serves as the primary liaison with business and industry, workforce agencies, community organizations, governmental entities, and educational partners to expand educational and workforce opportunities throughout the College's service area.
Salary:
Appropriate placement on Salary Schedule C, Rank 2: $84,020-$120,346, which is based on years of directly related full-time experience.
