Job Summary:

The Finance, Investment, and Banking Department seeks a candidate with the ability to educate high-achieving students enrolled in Finance courses at the undergraduate or masters level. The selected candidate will teach multiple sections.

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate strong expertise in Finance concepts developed through teaching experience, industry and/or research activities.

The mission of our Finance program is to prepare students to master and apply Finance skills effectively in the contemporary workplace. Our lecturers strive to help students achieve stated learning outcomes through both independent content creation and collaboration where appropriate.

The Finance curriculum is intentionally sequenced to help students build upon skills year-over-year as they prepare to become workplace ready. We encourage our lecturers to engage with industry and to build relationships with students, alumni, and external partners. This position can be extended in subsequent semesters to teach one or more of course(s) listed, or similar courses within the department. The FTE for this position has the potential to fluctuate depending on the number of classes taught.

This position may become renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment.

This position can be full or part-time, between 10-100% FTE.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction

  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience teaching or working in Finance or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Candidates with a strong commitment to teaching excellence at undergraduate and master’s levels.
  • Candidates with a record of high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment.
  • Candidates with an enthusiasm for collaborative learning environments.
  • Candidates with an interest in educational technologies and innovation.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience, expertise and credentials to teach a wide variety of finance courses to business undergraduates and masters students, in particular introductory and intermediate level courses in several or all of the following: investments, corporate finance, international finance, business valuations and derivatives.
Education:
  • MBA or MS in Finance or related field Required
  • PhD in Finance Preferred
