The 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. This position plays a critical role in supporting safe, efficient, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Repair and maintain motors, conveyors, pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and automated equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation and work orders.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment independently.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to work 3rd shift and overtime as required.
- Experience with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal.
- Experience working with ABB robotic systems.
- Experience in die-casting, machining, automotive, or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Technical certifications, trade school education, or related maintenance training.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production demands.
