We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to analyze financial data related to business operations, including materials, labor, and overhead costs. This role supports accurate cost tracking, identifies areas for cost savings, and contributes to budgeting and forecasting efforts. The ideal candidate will help maintain cost accounting systems, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to support financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze costs related to operations, including materials, labor, and overhead
• Monitor cost variances and investigate discrepancies
• Maintain accurate cost data within accounting systems
• Prepare reports on cost of goods sold, margins, and other key metrics
• Support budgeting and forecasting with cost analysis
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and implement improvements
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Prior Cost Accounting Experience

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CMA or other relevant certification a plus
