Accounts Payable Merchandise Processor

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Merchandise Processor to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will handle vendor invoices and ensure accurate processing while maintaining compliance with company standards. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Responsibilities:

- Verify and process merchandise invoices using a three-way matching system to ensure accuracy.

- Handle vendor invoices efficiently and meet processing deadlines.

- Resolve discrepancies with vendor statements by working closely with the Team Lead.

- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to address and resolve invoice-related issues.

- Assist in year-end inventory activities to support accurate reporting.

- Maintain thorough and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.

- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

- Follow company policies and standards to ensure compliance in all tasks. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with vendors and team members.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.

- Exceptional analytical abilities and time management skills to handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in invoice processing and record keeping.

- Ability to multitask and manage relationships with multiple vendors under pressure.

- Experience with accounts payable functions, including invoice coding, check runs, and reconciliation processes.
