Bookkeeper

Description

Robert Half is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's team in the Philadelphia area. This Bookkeeper role is integral to maintaining the accuracy of financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting processes within the firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, particularly in a detail-oriented services or law firm environment.

Responsibilities:

+ Handle all internal accounting operations to maintain accurate financial records.

+ Process payroll with precision and ensure timely distribution.

+ Manage accounts payable, including verifying approvals and executing payments.

+ Oversee accounts receivable by tracking outstanding balances and managing collections.

+ Utilize MyCase software to monitor time and generate invoices.

+ Synchronize billing data with Quick Books for reliable financial reporting.

+ Compile and maintain financial documentation for internal use.

Requirements

The ideal Bookkeeper candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA preferred.

Other requirements for the Bookkeeper position include and are not limited to:

+ 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a professional services environment

+ Strong proficiency with Quick Books

+

Experience with billing systems

+ Solid understanding of payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

+ Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy

+ Team player with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
