Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a team on a long-term contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Staff Account Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Process a high volume of accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions with precision and efficiency.

- Utilize various software tools, including Quick Books, Microsoft Excel, and case management systems, to manage financial data.

- Perform month-end reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Distribute fees based on both internal and external revenue-sharing agreements.

- Input cost data into case management systems, export to Quick Books, and issue checks as needed.

- Record and report checks received on a daily basis.

- Conduct bank account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

- Communicate with vendors to address and resolve payment inquiries.

- Collaborate with internal staff to provide updates on payment statuses.

Requirements

The Ideal Staff Accountant will meet the following Requirements:

- Hold a high school diploma; a college degree in a relevant field is preferred.

- Possess 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting, finance, banking, billing, or a related field.

- Prior experience in a legal environment is a plus.

- Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, journal entries, and general ledger processes.

- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Capable of working independently and solving problems effectively.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including using formulas and creating pivot tables.

- Experience with Quick Books is preferred but not mandatory.
