Controller

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Controller to lead and manage the day-to-day accounting operations for a mid-sized Law Firm. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, optimizing processes, and supporting leadership with accurate and timely financial insights. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial analysis, reporting, and strategic insights
  • Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, tax requirements, and reporting standards
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment
  • Manage external relationships including auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners
  • Monitor and improve operational efficiencies, including system and process enhancements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA required
  • Legal Industry experience required in a Partnership LLP
  • Proven experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience managing full-cycle accounting operations
  • Strong knowledge of partnership accounting, including capital accounts and tax structures, is a must
  • Experience with ERP systems (Aderant or similar preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Compensation:

$150,000-$175,000

Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision
