OpportunityHamilton Lane is looking to hire a Staff Accountant II to join our Corporate Finance & Accounting Team in Conshohocken, PA. The Staff Accountant II will work alongside other members of the Corporate Finance team to assist with their monthly accounting processes of Hamilton Lane and all subsidiaries.
Responsibilities- Maintain general ledgers.
- Manage and monitor daily cash transactions, report cash operation activities, apply cash policies and procedures in a timely manner, and process the deposit of cash receipts or disbursements.
- Responsible for month‑end closing including preparation of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, closing journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and revenue and expense analysis for corporate entities and global subsidiaries.
- Prepare various account/bank reconciliations.
- Ensure all documentation exists and is maintained for internal control purposes.
- Provide materials to external auditors for annual audit of corporate entities and subsidiaries.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- 2-4 years accounting experience.
- SEC/public company reporting experience preferred.
- Experience in multi‑currency accounting a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate.
- Aptitude for accounting and reporting systems required.
- Experience with Workday Financials a plus.
- Familiarity with consolidated financial statements.
- Excellent general accounting skills required and knowledge of US GAAP.
- Experience with SOX 404 compliance efforts.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and take initiative in resolving problems and making recommendations.
- Must be highly disciplined, results‑oriented and self‑motivated.
- Strong organization skills.
- Ability to multi‑task, and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to analyze financial information with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel required.
