Join our dynamic client located in Myerstown, PA, where we seek a dedicated professional to lead the financial operations of their manufacturing facility. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to not only manage accounting functions but also engage in key human resources and payroll activities. As a vital part of our team, you will collaborate closely with the General Manager and Group Controller, playing an integral role in driving our business success.
Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting- Lead the facility's accounting and financial operations.
- Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, chart of accounts, and financial records.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support strategic planning.
- Monitor cash flow, inventory valuation, and standard costing to ensure financial health.
- Coordinate annual audits and assist with tax preparation to ensure compliance.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
- Provide guidance and feedback to the Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Manager.
- Drive ERP and accounting process improvement initiatives.
- Engage in special projects that enhance financial operations.
- Manage recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and HRIS systems.
- Administer employee benefits and support open enrollment activities.
- Coordinate with Corporate HR on FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and leave administration.
- Assist supervisors with employee relations, investigations, and disciplinary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Facilitate employee communications and maintain required workplace postings.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of employee information.
- Process payroll accurately and timely using Paylocity or similar systems.
- Review time records and manage payroll changes effectively.
- Handle deductions, garnishments, bonuses, reimbursements, and benefit changes.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with year-end W-2 processing.
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour requirements.
- Coordinate OSHA and workers' compensation documentation.
- Support safety and compliance initiatives within the facility.
- Maintain confidential financial and personnel records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Proven payroll experience is required.
- Experience in human resources administration is a plus.
- ERP experience is essential, with familiarity in Paylocity or similar systems preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting, payroll, budgeting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Understanding of employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to supervise and coach team members effectively.
- Aptitude for maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and payroll/HRIS platforms.
- Strong communication skills to interact with employees, management, auditors, vendors, and external agencies.
Physical Requirements
This role is primarily office-based, involving sitting, standing, walking, computer use, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The role includes occasional exposure to manufacturing areas, where appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
Compensation Range$90k - 100K
