Position: Business Operations Contractor I (Contractor)
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Operations Contractor I to support financial and operational activities for Marketing Communications in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position focuses on purchase order coordination, expense oversight, reporting accuracy, and cross-functional support across marketing, finance, and accounting teams. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, sound organizational skills, and the confidence to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate the creation, submission, and monitoring of purchase orders tied to media, brand, and marketing-related spending.

- Partner with internal operations staff and external vendors to review accounts receivable reporting, monitor expenses, and secure timely approvals for active projects.

- Analyze accounting and operational data to help maintain accurate month-end reporting and reliable financial records.

- Contribute to budget planning activities by working with cross-functional teams to document expenses and support accurate forecasting.

- Prepare recurring weekly and monthly tracking reports that summarize financial activity and operational performance.

- Investigate invoices, accruals, deferred schedules, and purchase order records to help maintain accurate ledger information.

- Collaborate with Marketing Communications operations, finance, and accounting teams to reconcile reporting and align results.

- Identify workflow risks and recommend process improvements that increase consistency, efficiency, and reporting standardization.

- Support project management efforts for the rollout of reporting tools, dashboards, and other operational platforms.

- Perform additional business operations and financial support tasks as needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

- 3-5 years of relevant experience in business operations, finance, accounting, or project coordination.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to interpret financial information accurately.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working across internal teams and external partners.

- Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.

- Familiarity with marketing, advertising, or media-related expense terminology is preferred.

- Previous experience in financial analysis or general accounting within a marketing or advertising environment is preferred. Talent Match®
