About the Opportunity

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a respected nonprofit organization seeking a detail-oriented Financial Administrative Assistant to support daily finance and office operations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership while assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reporting, financial administration, and general office support functions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounting, bookkeeping, AP/AR, or finance administration experience who enjoys working in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Review, code, and process invoices for payment approval
  • Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
  • Support expense reimbursement processing and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets using Excel
  • Assist with vendor maintenance and respond to payment inquiries
  • Support payroll and benefits administration by gathering necessary documentation
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial and administrative requests
  • Process checks and maintain vendor files
  • Monitor purchase orders and assist with procurement documentation
  • Manage incoming mail, correspondence, filing, and record retention
  • Order office supplies and assist with general office administration
  • Handle phone coverage and administrative support as needed
  • Assist with audit requests, compliance reporting, and special projects
  • Provide support for finance-related meetings and organizational initiatives
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or financial administration
  • Strong understanding of invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping
  • Experience working with accounting systems or ERP software preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Nonprofit, education, healthcare, or government-funded program experience is a plus
