Accounting Analyst

Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join a finance team on a contract-to-permanent basis. This Accounting Analyst position supports core accounting operations by helping maintain accurate financial records, contributing to month-end activities, and assisting with reporting that informs business decisions. The Accounting Analyst role is well suited for someone who brings strong analytical ability, works comfortably with deadlines, and can collaborate effectively across multiple levels of the organization.

As an Accounting Analyst your responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:

• Lead support for the monthly close cycle and prepare timely financial reports for leadership review.
• Perform recurring reconciliations across key accounts to help ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Assist with invoice handling and related accounting documentation to support efficient payment processing.
• Contribute to payroll-related activities, including reporting and coordination of required accounting entries.
• Review balance sheet support and post journal entries in alignment with established accounting practices.
• Produce regular accounting summaries and distribute reporting to appropriate stakeholders.
• Analyze monthly financial results, identify unusual trends or discrepancies, and communicate findings to finance leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial planning and analysis efforts as needed.
• Help maintain internal controls and consistent procedures that reduce reporting errors and strengthen compliance.
