This position provides essential clerical support that keeps daily operations running smoothly while helping clients and staff obtain the information they need. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Telephone Support: Answer telephone inquiries and provide helpful information to guide clients
- Information Handling: Receive, review, process, log, and transfer written or verbal information
- Record Management: Collect, sort, retrieve, and purge records and correspondence from files
- Data Entry: Interpret documents, analyze computer screens, and complete data entry tasks
- Clerical Duties: Prepare reports, draft general correspondence, and operate office equipment

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time, seasonal employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- This is a full time, seasonal position that typically runs for 6-8 months during the fall and winter seasons to assist clients in the process of applying for heating assistance.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Travel and overtime as needed.
- Work Conditions: Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language.
- Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Philadelphia, PA.
The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. - Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $18.83 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
