Overview
The MEP Superintendent is responsible for efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of all subcontractors, construction trades, and labor crews to work in unity in order to ensure quality and progress according to the project Master Schedule. The Superintendent will have proven construction experience as a MEP Superintendent, a history of leading, teaching, and mentoring others successfully, and the ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans, project specifications, design documents, code requirements, and other similar construction activities.
Location& Travel Details
You’ll get the opportunity to travel across the U.S., helping our team build infrastructure projects. This is a traveling position, requiring travel up to 100% of the time. Potential project locations may include, but are not limited to, PA, KS, NC, SC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, WY, and additional locations are added frequently as our organization continues to grow.
Responsibilities- Permit document administration and control
- Complete review and understanding of subcontractor’s scope of work
- Coordinate safety meetings and overall responsibility for project safety
- Control project access and traffic
- Tool and equipment inventory, coordination, and rental
- Coordinate, schedule and maintain records of all project testing and certificates including concrete and soil testing
- Coordinate with PM, PCM and PFE daily regarding project progress, subcontractor performance, QA/QC and reporting
- Complete the 3‑week look‑ahead schedule and update master schedule with PCM
- Complete Daily Log Reports (Procore)
- Maintain “As Built” drawings for final submittal
- Coordinate and schedule project inspections
- Final inspection and proper close‑out documentation
- Quality control of installed materials and equipment
- Site layout and control of benchmarks
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ work experience as a construction Superintendent – In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing MEP scope of work on new‑build ground‑up construction projects.
- Prior experience with data center projects is required.
- Must have project scheduling, planning, organization, and document control.
- Superior communication and organization skills, especially when managing subcontractors and inspectors.
- OSHA Certification – In‑depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Programs, and Document Management systems.
- 10+ years of experience as a construction Superintendent
- Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6)
- Experience in projects greater than $20 million
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Willingness to travel through the U.S.
- Compensation $100k‑$140k+ per year, commensurate with experience
