Cost Estimator
We represent an established AEC project controls firm in Philadelphia, PA that is looking for a Cost Estimator. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with a background in construction cost estimating to support a growing estimating and scheduling department working on major public infrastructure programs across aviation, rail, transit, and bridges.
Cost Estimator Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate quantity surveys and take offs to estimate costs of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work across all CSI Master Format categories
- Provide quality control checks on estimates for team members and mentor Junior Estimators
- Analyze information and develop budgets from conceptual stages through final construction documentation
- Respond to client requests for explanations of submitted cost estimates
- Serve as a resource for the project team needing quick unit costs
- Develop relationships with local vendors and contractors to collect accurate data
- Represent the estimating department in project meetings
- Coordinate with the scheduling team to ensure labor hours are accounted for and documented
- Interface with design and construction personnel to produce accurate costs and scopes of work
Cost Estimator Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of estimating experience, 10 years preferred
- Degreed, discipline open
- MEP background a plus but not required
- Experience with RS Means, Bluebeam Revu, and advanced Excel
- CEP certification a major plus

Compensation:
