Cost Estimator

We represent an established AEC project controls firm in Philadelphia, PA that is looking for a Cost Estimator. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with a background in construction cost estimating to support a growing estimating and scheduling department working on major public infrastructure programs across aviation, rail, transit, and bridges.

Cost Estimator Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate quantity surveys and take offs to estimate costs of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work across all CSI Master Format categories
• Provide quality control checks on estimates for team members and mentor Junior Estimators
• Analyze information and develop budgets from conceptual stages through final construction documentation
• Respond to client requests for explanations of submitted cost estimates
• Serve as a resource for the project team needing quick unit costs
• Develop relationships with local vendors and contractors to collect accurate data
• Represent the estimating department in project meetings
• Coordinate with the scheduling team to ensure labor hours are accounted for and documented
• Interface with design and construction personnel to produce accurate costs and scopes of work

Cost Estimator Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of estimating experience, 10 years preferred
• Degreed, discipline open
• MEP background a plus but not required
• Experience with RS Means, Bluebeam Revu, and advanced Excel
• CEP certification a major plus

Compensation:
Salary is $125,000 to $160,000 annually, based on experience.
