BIM Specialist

The Axel Group is currently seeking a BIM Designer to join a growing team in the Chester County area. This opportunity is with a well-established organization specializing in engineered support systems, prefabrication, and specialty construction solutions for commercial and industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on Revit experience and a strong understanding of BIM modeling within a construction environment. This position will focus heavily on developing and coordinating Revit models and detailed BIM designs for engineered support systems and prefabricated solutions.

• Create and maintain detailed Revit models for engineered support systems and prefabricated assemblies.
• Develop BIM designs and detailed construction drawings based on project plans and specifications.
• Interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
• Utilize Revit as the primary BIM/design platform throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate Revit models with project requirements and identify potential design conflicts.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and submittal packages.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, estimators, fabricators, contractors, and customers.
• Make model and drawing revisions based on project specifications, RFIs, field conditions, and customer feedback.
• Assist with material takeoffs and develop accurate bills of materials from BIM models.
• Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings.
• Support the transition of Revit designs into fabrication, prefabrication, kitting, and installation.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure models and drawings are completed on schedule.

• 2+ years of hands‑on Revit experience in a professional environment.
• Strong proficiency with Revit and BIM modeling.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
• Understanding of commercial construction and MEP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical designs.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
