Position Summary
The Exam Proctor reports to the Director of Accessibility Services and is primarily responsible for proctoring exams in a controlled and supportive environment at Holy Family University's Northeast campus. This role ensures that testing accommodations are provided fairly and securely while fostering a welcoming, stress-free atmosphere for test-takers. The Proctor will secure test materials, verify student identity, enforce testing policies, and maintain communication with faculty regarding test completion.
Initial training will provide candidates with clear expectations and guidelines to ensure compliance with the university's testing standards. This position requires flexible availability, with a start time as early as 8am until about 4:30pm, Tuesday through Thursday. An exam schedule will be provided in advance so that the Proctor can plan accordingly.
Essential Functions:

* Overseeing and administering exam proctoring services, ensuring a distraction-free and welcoming student environment.
* Printing, securing, and returning test materials to faculty in a timely and confidential manner.
* Contacting both faculty and student test-takers to confirm relevant information.
* Verifying student identity and explaining testing policies before exams begin.
* Enforcing instructor-provided test instructions while monitoring students discreetly and supportively.
* Working closely with IT to resolve day-of technical issues.
* Providing excellent customer service to students and faculty, offering guidance and clear communication regarding test procedures.
* Maintaining organization and confidentiality in handling sensitive student information and test materials.

Education & Experience Requirements :
Applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Compensations are based on hours worked and are paid bi-weekly.

Work Environment:
Operates in an office environment that may have frequent interruptions. The area is well-lit, temperature-controlled, and free from hazards. The noise level is generally quiet to moderate.
Physical Requirements:
Communicates frequently, in person, over the phone, or via a computer. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in-person communication.
