This is a pooled position from which Adjunct Instructors will be selected when/if a need arises in the department. Position Summary
- La Salle University's Natural Sciences Department has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach Anatomy and Physiology lecture and laboratory classes. These courses are generally offered in person, in the daytime or evenings. Essential Duties
- Teach assigned course(s). Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives. Provide timely grading and feedback to students. Provide guidance and support to students.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or PhD degree in a biology, anatomy, physiology or related field. A Master's or terminal degree in related degree in a field related to anatomy/physiology (MD, DO, DPt, etc) will also be considered. Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or desire for teaching biology and/or anatomy and physiology courses, particularly at the college-level. Knowledge or experience teaching anatomy and physiology laboratory courses.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
- The job requires the ability to teach lecture or lab sections of A&P. The job requires movement around the classroom or laboratory, and possibly lifting heavy objects such as anatomy models. It may be necessary for the position to teach an evening class of A&P.
