Job Description Summary
The Office of Academic Innovation is seeking an AI Solutions Specialist with specialized knowledge in online computer science education, instructional technology, and emerging AI-enabled learning tools. This position will support the AI Solutions Manager by contributing to the evaluation, implementation, documentation, and scaling of AI tools and workflows across the program. The role will also directly manage a portfolio of approximately 2-3 courses, advise faculty on online teaching best practices, provide technology consultations, and deliver trainings for program stakeholders.
This position will join a fast-paced, agile team in a growing and dynamic program. Candidates must be willing and able to participate in the team's on-call evening and weekend work.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
+ Support AI solutions and initiatives across the program. Partner with the AI Solutions Manager to evaluate, implement, document, and support AI tools, workflows, and pilots that improve instructional quality, operational efficiency, and the student learning experience. Assist with AI-related testing, stakeholder training, troubleshooting, use-case development, prompt and workflow documentation, and responsible adoption practices.
+ Manage a portfolio of approximately 2-3 courses. Provide instructional design and technology expertise for stakeholders across the program, including students, staff, faculty, and TAs. Serve as an advisor to faculty on online teaching best practices. Assist in fulfilling technology and logistical requests.
+ Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and support of large teams of TAs.
+ Participate in the team's on-call evening and weekend work. Candidates must be willing and able to support urgent course and technology needs outside standard business hours.
+ Perform related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree, preferably in education, technology, computer science, instructional design, or a related field and one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's preferred.
+ Demonstrated experience managing or facilitating large online courses or working on or with teaching teams.
+ Experience supporting or implementing AI-enabled tools, workflows, or instructional technologies strongly preferred.
+ Expertise in administrating LMSs, Canvas preferred, LTI integrations, and associated instructional technologies.
+ Ability to evaluate, test, document, and explain emerging technologies to technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Strong customer service skills, positive attitude, and attention to detail.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience working in a highly collaborative team environment.
+ Intermediate Excel skills.
