Job Description:

The mission of One Bright Ray Community High School, an independent, accelerated high school, is to provide quality education to Philadelphia's, over-aged and under-credited students in search of a positive school experience while earning their diploma. We provide a supportive environment free of negative labels that challenge each student to explore their personal and academic potential through Project-Based Learning. We engage in restorative practices to create healthy respectful relationships that foster productivity, a positive outlook, and high self-esteem.

We provide a second chance, sometimes a last chance, for our students in their pursuit of a high school diploma.

The Educational Support Teacher of the school is responsible for assisting in the delivery of policies, regulations, and procedures of the O , Inc. Accelerated School Model. The Educational Support Teacher is responsible for supporting students who have academic, emotional and diverse needs. The Educational Support Teacher serves in a support and guidance role to students, teachers and staff as it pertains to students with special needs.

Achieving academic excellence requires that the Educational Support Teacher work collaboratively with their leadership team to direct and nurture faculty members, staff members, and stakeholders of the school community in order to achieve student success.. The Educational Support Teacher must communicate effectively with the leadership team, show professionalism with faculty, staff, students and parents. Not all duties and responsibilities are listed, however The Educational Support Teacher is expected to assist in any way to ensure that the O  mission is carried out as set by the CEO and the board of directors.

Position:
Full-Time

Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 Yearly

Schedule:

Monday - Friday (8am to 3:15pm)
