About the Position The Head Tutor oversees the operation of Haverford College's Economics Question Center (EQC), a peer-tutoring resource for students enrolled in Economics courses. The Head Tutor is expected to be present at the EQC at least one evening per week.

  • Promote a collegial, inclusive, and intellectually engaged environment in which students feel comfortable seeking assistance

Faculty Liaison

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Economics faculty and Question Center tutors, communicating faculty guidance, concerns, and relevant course information

Center Administration

  • Develop and maintain the weekly tutor schedule, including arranging coverage for absences and schedule changes
  • Identify opportunities to improve the organization and effectiveness of the Question Center
  • Collect and organize instructional resources for tutors, including practice problems, model solutions, and other materials provided by Economics faculty

Line of Report:
The EQC Head Tutor reports to the Chair of the Economics Department.

Minimum Qualifications
