God has called Inter Varsity to plant and to build witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus on college and university campuses. Through these groups, we believe ever‑ increasing numbers of students and faculty from all ethnic groups and areas of the campus will be transformed by the Gospel. We expect to see campuses increasingly become places where people, ideas, and structures flourish to the glory of God.

We confidently anticipate that our Inter Varsity alumni will become change agents across the country and around the world. We pursue this calling by discerning and actively participating in what God is already doing on campus. This is the essence of being a Campus Staff Minister (CSM). We are looking for a Campus Staff Minister who can gather a thriving community of students in a campus environment full of competing options s CSM should be able to engage UCF's diverse student body — across ethnicities and cultures, commuters and residential students, and a wide range of interests and backgrounds — building genuine connection wherever students are.

UCF presents a distinct ministry challenge and opportunity: as one of the largest universities in the nation with more than 70,000 students, it offers an enormous mission field, but also a campus where students can easily go unnoticed and community can be hard to find. Because a large share of UCF's student body commutes rather than lives on campus, a CSM here can't rely on residential rhythms of dorm life to build community — they'll need to be creative about meeting students where they naturally gather, whether that's between classes, in the Student Union, or through online spaces.

UCF's student population is also highly diverse across ethnicity, culture, and background, meaning an effective CSM will be able to connect across difference rather than defaulting to a single cultural mode of ministry. And because UCF hosts a crowded landscape of campus faith groups and ministries, this role calls for someone who can offer students something distinct and compelling enough to gather a community amid no shortage of other options for their time and attention.

• Visionary Guide:
  You communicate and model Inter Varsity’s vision to see students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed, and world changers developed. Create a culture of humble dependence on God and bold expectation in God’s intention to start new witnessing communities throughout the campus and on new campuses. Model – in person and through programs – Inter Varsity’s vision and Core Values, including a biblically‑defined commitment to engage every ethnic and social group on campus.
  
  Lead students and faculty – individually and collectively – through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship experiences, so that they articulate and align their ministry activities around this vision. Set annual goals through prayer, research and reflection with your teams (students, faculty, and staff) for qualitative and quantitative growth, including conversions and leadership development.
